Ark Nova – Sanctuary Insert (Modular & SCAD Source Included)

This insert was designed to make Ark Nova’s Sanctuary expansion easier to organize, faster to set up, and more enjoyable to play.

There are very few non-commercial inserts available for this expansion, and I wanted something cleaner, more modular, and better fitting to my own preferences — so I built one.

Printing Notes

• No supports required
• Optimized for 0.4 mm nozzle
• Tested with standard PLA
• Print orientation is already prepared in the 3MF

Print Quantity

To complete the full insert you will need:

• 5× Player Board trays
• 1× each of all other components

Make sure to print five copies of the Player Board module before starting assembly.

Customization

All source files are included in the SCAD folder.

I’m aware that different publishers and regional editions of Ark Nova may have slight dimensional differences (card thickness, cardboard tolerances, etc.), which can affect fit.

That’s exactly why I’m sharing the OpenSCAD files — so you can easily adjust clearances or dimensions if needed.

Please note that the SCAD files require the BOSL2 library to be installed in OpenSCAD.

Once installed, the project should compile without issues.

Feel free to tweak wall thickness, spacing, or other parameters to match your specific edition or printer tolerances.

Adaptations are welcome — just please keep it non-commercial.
