Description
This is a replacement corner bracket designed for pleated (plisse) insect screens. It helps secure the mechanism and balance the screen wings at the four corners. I modeled this because the original plastic parts often break over time due to sun exposure, and 3D printing provides a quick and durable fix.
Note from the Maker: I am not a professional designer, but an enthusiast who created this to solve a specific problem in my own home. I’m sharing it here hoping it helps others with similar needs!
Customization for Screw Holes
Since screw hole positions can vary between different window brands and manufacturers, you might need to adjust them for your specific frame:
- Adjustment: You can easily move, close, or add new screw holes directly in your slicer (like Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer).
- How-to: Simply use "Negative Parts" (cylinders) to create new holes or "Positive Parts" to fill the existing ones before slicing. This allows you to match your window's original hole pattern without needing CAD software.
Printing Recommendations
- Material: I highly recommend using PETG or ASA. Since these parts are exposed to direct sunlight, PLA may warp over time due to heat.
