Parametric Table Raiser (with customizable baseboard cutout)
This is a fully parametric table / furniture raiser designed to lift a table leg and create additional clearance underneath. It’s especially useful for robot vacuums, cable routing, or simply increasing working height.
The model is parameter-driven, so you can quickly adapt it to different table legs (square legs are the main target) and optionally add a rear cutout so the raiser can sit closer to the wall even if there is a baseboard / skirting board.
Key features
- Parametric inner pocket for a snug fit around the table leg
- Optional rear baseboard cutout (height + depth) so the table can be pushed against the wall
- Surrounding wall thickness configurable for strength vs. material usage
- Clean, simple geometry → prints reliably without supports in most cases
Parameters (explained)
tableLegWidth (mm)
Inner width of the pocket that the table leg slides into.
tableLegDepth (mm)
Inner depth of the pocket that the table leg slides into.
surrounding (mm)
Wall thickness around the leg pocket (also affects overall outer size).
Tip: If you want a tighter fit, keep your leg dimensions accurate and adjust tolerances via slicer horizontal expansion if needed.
enclosingHeight (mm)
How much of the table leg is “enclosed” by the raiser (depth of the pocket from the top).
Higher values improve stability and reduce wobble.
height (mm)
Overall height of the raiser. This is the “lift” you get (minus any small floor/fit tolerances).
baseboardCutOutHeight (mm)
Height of the optional rear cutout to clear a baseboard.
baseboardCutOutDepth (mm)
Depth of the optional rear cutout (how far it goes into the raiser).
If you don’t need the baseboard feature, set cutout height/depth to 0 (or disable the cutout option, depending on the configurator).
Example Values for IKEA LACK table
These are working example parameters for an IKEA LACK table:
- tableLegWidth: 51 mm
- tableLegDepth: 51 mm
- surrounding: 5 mm
- enclosingHeight: 20 mm
- height: e.g. 160 mm
- baseboardCutOutHeight: 63 mm
- baseboardCutOutDepth: 16.5 mm
Printing recommendations
- Material: PLA and PETG works well.
- Supports: Not required in typical orientation (flat on the bottom).
- Infill: 10 - 20% (for higher loads increase walls first).
- Perimeters/Walls: 3–5 recommended for strength.
- Layer height: 0.2 mm (or finer for nicer surface finish).
