  • 🖥️ How to use the Customizer (For Beginners):
  • Never used the MakerWorld Customizer before? It's incredibly easy:
  • Click the "Customize" button at the top of this page.
  • Play around with the sliders.
  • Click the "Generate" button and wait a few seconds for the model to build.
  • Click "Download" and choose your format:
    • Highly Recommended: Select .3mf so you can easily assign colors for your AMS in the slicer!
    • Select .stl for single-color prints.
  • Open the downloaded file in Bambu Studio (or your preferred slicer), double-check your settings, and hit print!

🚀 How to Create Your Box

  1. Select Dimensions: Choose width, depth, and height (Min. 12mm box / 8mm lid).
  2. Define Layout: Use the ratio sliders for Zone 1 & 2. Zone 3 adjusts automatically.
  3. Set Grid: Determine columns and rows for each zone individually.
  4. Print & Organize!

 

🖨️ Optimized Print Profile (Recommended Settings)

This model was specifically developed for support-free printing. For a durable and mechanically strong box, I recommend the following configuration:

  1. Walls & Stability (Crucial!)
    • Wall Loops: 3 - 4
      • Why? The hinges and the locking mechanism derive their strength from the wall lines. With 4 walls, the box is nearly indestructible.
    • Top/Bottom Layers: 4 - 5
      • Ensures a smooth surface and a completely opaque bottom.
  2. Infill
    • Density: 15% - 20%
    • Pattern: Gyroid or Grid
      • Gyroid is ideal as it provides multi-directional stability and reduces vibrations.
  3. Material
    • PETG: Recommended 
    • Supports: NONE (Disabled)
      • The model is designed so that all overhangs (including hinge holes) print perfectly without support.
  4. Layer Height & Speed
    • Layer Height: 0.20 mm (Standard)
    • First Layer: 0.20 mm
      • Ensure good bed adhesion to prevent warping on large boxes.

💡 Pro Tips for Assembly

  • The Hinge Axis: No screws needed! Simply use a piece of 1.75mm filament. Slide it through the holes and cut it with 1-2 mm of excess on each side.
  • Filament Trick: Carefully heat the ends of the filament with a lighter and press them flat against the hinge. This permanently secures the axis.
  • Adjusting Fit: If the 1.75mm filament is too tight, you can slightly increase the hinge hole diameter in the Customizer.
  • Tolerances: If the inlays fit too tightly, increase the Inlay_Tolerance value in the Customizer by 0.05 mm and regenerate the inlays.
