Flexi Mini Hippo

Flexi Mini Hippo is my tiny desk tank — small, round, compact, and permanently in chill mode.

The segmented body gives it a smooth, satisfying movement. It’s not super floppy and not overly loose, but it flexes nicely when you gently push or wiggle it. It feels solid and stable rather than fragile, which makes it perfect as a small fidget companion.

The snout is a separate piece, intentionally designed for easy color customization. I chose white for strong contrast, but you can print it in any color you like without modifying the main body. This separation also helps keep multicolor printing clean and efficient.

It prints flat, stable, and without complicated supports.
Simple geometry.
Balanced proportions.
Clean layer flow across the rounded surfaces.

Small.
Chunky.
Slightly suspicious.
Very chill.

🧠 This model was initially inspired by an AI-generated concept, with base geometry processed through MakerWorld’s Image-to-3D tool.
🛠️ The resulting mesh was then imported into Nomad Sculpt, where I manually increased resolution, refined surface details, smoothed key areas, and adjusted the pose for better balance and printability.
📸 All photos shown are of the actual printed model, tested on multiple plate sizes and verified for clean print performance.
