3D-printable flower press designed to speed up traditional pressing, allowing you to dry and flatten flowers in about two minutes using a microwave rather than waiting weeks with a normal press. 

Assembly:

After you print the model, use two short pieces of filament to connect the two parts together. Insert them through the hinge holes to join the plates.

Usage:

You will need the printed flower press, thin cardboard, and paper.

1. Cut the cardboard and paper to match the shape and size of the press. Prepare two pieces of each.

   

2. Place the cardboard pieces inside the press, then add the paper sheets on top.

3. Put the flowers between the paper layers.

   

4. Close the press and place it in the microwave for 2 minutes at 300W.
5. Carefully remove the press (it will be hot!), check if the flowers are dry and flat. If still moist, microwave in short increments until fully pressed. Let cool.

6. Once dried, you can use the flattened flowers in art, cards, bookmarks, framed decorations, or other crafts. Pressed flower art (also known as oshibana) is a traditional botanical art form.
