I have made a fully functional version following the iconic style of the Scrub Daddy, one of shark tanks most successful products. This quirky sponge works perfectly for cleaning dishes and comes into its own when exposed to different temperatures.

In warm water, the TPU softens, increasing flexibility and allowing the sponge to conform to complex geometries such as curved plates, cutlery contours, and glassware interiors. In cold water, the material stiffens due to the thermoplastic structure of the TPU, providing increased abrasive resistance for removing stubborn, baked-on residues. This temperature-responsive behaviour significantly enhances functional versatility compared to conventional cellulose or polyurethane sponges.

Print settings:

• NO wall loops
• NO bottom or top layers
• 13% gyroid infill for the best squish
• Infill anchor set to 0 to make it more spongy on the edges
