This 10‑inch Gothic Rose Frame began as a simple idea: my wife bought a clock on Temu, and I wanted to create a gothic, rose‑themed frame worthy of it. I asked ChatGPT to generate an image based on “Gothic Rose Frame,” refined the concept a couple of times, and then used MakerLab’s image‑to‑model tool as a starting point. From there, I spent over three months rebuilding, redesigning, and refining every detail until it became the printable model you see here.
I also have a 5‑inch version of this frame already uploaded to MakerWorld if you want a smaller decorative piece or a matching set.
The entire frame prints without supports, including the roses. Because the roses are support‑free, expect a bit of stringing—just a quick cleanup with snips. The left and right roses are fully interchangeable.
Assembly is straightforward: the frame can be held together using only M3 threaded inserts and screws in the back plating. You may prefer to add a bit of glue for extra rigidity. Depending on your printer’s tolerances, you might need to heat‑set and slightly adjust the inserts to get perfect alignment.
This model was a labor of love, inspired by my wife’s clock and shaped through months of iteration. I hope you enjoy printing it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
