🧠 Behind the Design (For Makers & Moderators) 

This is not a simple 2D primitive extrusion. This is a fully parametric OpenSCAD engineering tool that dynamically generates 10 distinct complex geometric shapes. The algorithm utilizes advanced trigonometric functions (sine/cosine loops) to calculate star patterns, and executes complex union() blends for organic shapes like hearts and flowers. Furthermore, it computes proportional boolean subtractions (difference()) for adjustable sewing holes via rotational matrices, and utilizes negative mathematical offsets (offset(r = -act_rim)) to procedurally generate the inner indent and rim topography. This replicates authentic injection-molded buttons across any user-defined scale flawlessly.

🛠️ What can you customize?

• Shapes: Choose between 10 different shapes like circle, oval, square, rounded square, hexagon, pentagon, triangle, star, flower and heart.
• Dimensions: Fully parametric. Adjust the diameter to match a tiny shirt button or a massive coat button.
• Edge design: Control the rim width and the depth of the inner indent for that classic button look.
• Holes: Select 2 or 4 sewing holes, and tweak their diameter and spacing to fit your needles and yarn.
• Advanced geometry: Control the corner radius on square buttons, or adjust the number of points and petals on the star and flower shapes.

🖨️ Print settings

This is a fast and simple print. You can print them really fast.

• Material: PLA, PETG or ABS/ASA. Use Silk PLA if you want a shiny, metallic or premium look.
• Layer height: 0.12mm or 0.16mm is highly recommended for small details.
• Infill: 100% solid. They are thin, so they need maximum strength so they don't break in the washing machine.
• Top surface: Enable ironing on all top surfaces. This makes them feel extremely smooth, almost like injection-molded resin.
• Support: 100% support-free.
