🧠 Behind the Design (For Makers & Moderators)
While the geometric output is an S-hook, this is a fully parametric OpenSCAD engineering utility, not a basic 2D primitive. Because OpenSCAD lacks a native sweep function, the algorithm mathematically engineers one from scratch. It calculates structural load paths by utilizing advanced trigonometric functions (sin/cos) within dynamic for loops. It executes iterative hull() transformations between calculated coordinate nodes to procedurally sweep a continuous, stress-resistant curve across customizable wrap angles. This advanced mathematical geometry generation ensures maximum load-bearing strength and optimal layer adhesion, making it a sophisticated mechanical part rather than a simple shape.
⚙️ What can you customize?
- Top & bottom diameter: Set the exact inner size to perfectly hug your shower rod, closet pole, or wire shelving.
- Hook width & thickness: Scale it up for a heavy 20kg load (like backpacks or tools) or thin it down for hanging light plants and kitchen utensils.
- Wrap angles: Control exactly how “closed” the loops are. A wrap angle of 180 creates a half-circle, while 240 creates a secure lock that will not easily fall off when bumped.

This is a robust, support-free print optimized for strength.
- Material: PETG, ABS or ASA is highly recommended if you are hanging heavy items or using it in a hot environment (like a car or bathroom). PLA works great for standard indoor organization.
- Walls: 4 to 6 walls. This is crucial. More walls equal exponentially more strength for load-bearing hooks. Do not rely just on infill.
- Infill: 25% Gyroid or higher.
- Supports: 100% support-free.
