Modelo 3D Arbor Press Tooling por Ben no MakerWorld

Descrição

I often use bolts and other inserted hardware in projects to add functionality. But inserting that hardware can be tricky, especially if you want to do it repeatedly. An arbour press is the best option I'm aware of to make inserting that hardware fast and easy, but sometimes your part isn't flat or the hardware isn't being inserted perpendicular to a flat surface, which makes using the arbour press difficult.

My solution is to print tooling for the arbour press with the negative of the printed part. The workflow for this that I've been using is to import the model you want to add hardware to, scale it up to 101% to provide a clearance fit, position it as desired (in the provided model, a 1 mm hole marks the centerpoint of the ram), pattern the model upwards at 1 mm increments until it clears the tooling, and then subtract the models from the tooling. This results in a cavity that holds the print securely and allows it to be inserted into the tooling vertically.

This model is sized to fit a ½ ½-ton Vevor press, but the concept could be easily scaled to other sizes of arbour press. I added 7.5x2 mm magnets to the bottom of the tooling, but it's not really necessary.
