Modification of Brady02's mATX Mount | 10-Inch Rack. All bolts and nuts are the same as would be used to construct the original Lab Rax rack. Nearly all of the modifications I made were to better suit my custom wants. The original 5/6 mounting points still aligned with my mATX board, I only altered out of an over-abundance of caution of making sure my board would have zero potential flex/dip. The remainder were to better align the design with the Lab Rax system. The original is an excellent design, and all credit to Brady02 for putting in the true hard work.
Added:
- Front IO port access
- Mounting point for combined usb3 header to female A, and usb2 header to female A ports (item HERE)
- Mounting points for mechanical key switches to serve as power and reset buttons (not yet added in my pics)
- Cutout for a 5mm led to serve as power/status indicator (not yet added in my pics)
- Mounting point for a 40mm Noctua Fan (can be any 40mm fan)
- Recess for 40mm fan grill designed by Roland Deschain
Altered
- Overall length (board mount + rear supports) slightly shortened to bettwe fit the Lab Rax dimensions
- Relocated one additional existing board mounting point to give me all 6 points of contact
- Altered the rack mounting points to better align with the Lab Rax bolt pattern and sizing
- Reduced curvature to produce a smaller file size and time to print
- Shifted the board mounting points so that the IO Ports were accessible via the front cutout.
- Reduced overall width to be better sized for the board, and ease of installation into the rack
- Separated the rear mounting points for ease of installation, and modified for size constraints
