Descrição
A modular Nespresso capsule holder designed for wall mounting or free-standing use.
The system is built around a center module and expands to the left and/or right using slide-on extension modules. Each piece uses a double dovetail-style connection that locks directionally (left/right) so the stack won’t slip through.
I looked at a lot of existing capsule holders for inspiration, but none matched exactly what I wanted — so this is a from-scratch design made for a clean look, solid fit, and easy alignment on the wall.

Parts overview (what to print)
Core parts:
- Center Module (1x)
- Extension Module – Left (print as many as you need)
- Extension Module – Right (print as many as you need)
- End Cap – Left (1x)
- End Cap – Right (1x)
Mounting / extras:
- Wall Mount Wedge (usually 1x-2x for small setups, more for longer racks)
- Drill Template (1x, optional but recommended)
- Connector Cover (optional, print as many as you like for aesthetics)

How the modular system works (simple explanation)
- Start with the Center Module.
- Add Right Extensions to expand to the right, and/or Left Extensions to expand to the left.
- Finish each side with the matching End Cap.
- Each module has a rear pocket where a Wall Mount Wedge can be inserted, so you can mount at different points — but most of the weight is carried by the center, so mounting the center is the best starting point.
Wall mounting (recommended method)
You’ll get the cleanest result if you mount in two steps: position first, tighten later.
Hardware you’ll need
- Screws + wall plugs suitable for your wall
- Washers are recommended (important because the mount hole is oval)
Why washers?
The wall mount has an oval slot so you can fine-tune alignment horizontally/vertically. Washers make sure the screw head clamps properly.
Step-by-step mounting
1) Mount the center first (do not fully tighten yet)
- Insert a Wall Mount Wedge into the rear pocket of the Center Module.
- Use the oval slot to roughly align it.
- Screw it to the wall lightly (still adjustable).
2) Dry-fit the row (alignment pass)
- Slide on a few modules (2–4 pieces) in the direction you want to build.
- If you plan to add another wall mount further out, place it roughly where you want it — but only lightly tighten it at first.
- Align everything visually.
Tip: I usually assemble a longer section, align it, then remove the modules again to fully tighten the mounts.
3) Tighten mounts, then reassemble
- Remove the capsule modules from the mounts (leave the wedges on the wall).
- Fully tighten the screws on the wall mounts.
- Slide all capsule modules back onto the installed wedges.
Getting a tight fit (without damaging parts)
The dovetail connection is designed to be snug but loose enough for alignment.
If a module doesn’t slide on easily, don’t force it directly with a metal hammer.
Recommended:
- Rubber mallet, or
- A normal hammer with a cloth/paper towel in between (that’s what I used)
Use gentle taps and keep everything straight.
Using the drill template (makes life easier)
If you want a second (or third) wall mount further along the rack:
- Assemble the rack up to the point where the next mount should go.
- Place the Drill Template against the side/end where the next module will sit.
- Mark the hole position through the template.
- Drill + plug + install the next Wall Mount Wedge.
Important tip:
When adding a new section, it often helps to lift the last 2–3 modules together and slide them down as one unit, instead of trying to slide only the final module from above.

Optional: Connector Covers
If you want a cleaner look, you can place Connector Covers over the visible joint areas.
This is purely aesthetic — print as many as you like/need.

Front label slot (Nespresso sleeve “flavor label”)
Each capsule holder has a front recess sized so you can insert the paper label strip from Nespresso sleeves (the small front label piece), making it easy to see which flavor is where.
