Modelo 3D Modular rig for crypto mining por Roby no MakerWorld

Descrição

• Fully 3D printable structure
• Connectable module system → you can start with 4–6 GPUs and add side or top racks whenever you want.
• Easy to transport/disassemble/reconfigure.
• PETG or ABS for thermal durability (PLA+ is fine if you don't exceed 50–55°C ambient)
• 20–25% gyroid or cubic infill.

Required screws:

• Single block (GPU)
• Front
•M3 30x4
• Back (with vented grille)
•M3 25x4
• Beams (4)
•M3 8mmx4
• Upright joiner
• 16mmx4
•M3x8 nuts

• Double block (power supply)
• Front frame
•M3 30x4
• M3 20mmx4
• Back frame
•M3 25mmx6
• M3 12mm x 2
• Beams (6)
•M3 8mmx4
• Upright joiner
• M3 16mmx8

• Main frame (motherboard)
• Same screws as the double block, but for each block size added, you'll need extra:
• Front extender block
• M3 30mmx4
• Back extender block
• M3 12mmx2
• M3 20mmx2
• Strut Joiner
• M3 16mmx4
• M3x4 Nut

• For example, for a triple-block frame, you'll need double-block screws plus 2x the total number of screws above. For a quad-block frame, you'll need double-block screws plus 3x the total number of screws above.

• Motherboard Mount
• M3 12mmx6

• The screw sizes shown in the video are recommended, but in most cases there's a tolerance of +/- 5mm. This is because we're trying to minimize the number of different lengths, and longer screws, such as 30mm, will work in place of 25mm, as the additional lengths will be covered by the plastic. The crucial dimensions are for the beams, as anything longer than 8mm will protrude.

• Will the 3D printed rig melt?
While PLA is generally not recommended for high-temperature applications, we've had MMRs printed in PLA run for many months without issue. We recommend PETG filament, which has a higher temperature resistance and will exceed the GPU's temperature tolerance.

• Why is the thickness of the front parts different from the back?
The simple reason is print time and filament waste. We tried making the parts the same thickness, but found that there was little benefit in terms of strength, but it took much longer to print and used much more filament.

• Can I use two long spokes instead of one long and one short?
Yes. The reason for this design was that the weight of the GPU would sit directly on the riser support. If you use two long spokes, it will be slightly off-center, but it will still work.
