Modelo 3D AM40 Improved thrust vector motor mount por YMO_1990 no MakerWorld

Descrição

After some in flight failures of the original thrust vector motor mount provided by RC-Factory on their indoor foamies I decided to redesign and improve it.

The original model has a lot of thin printed plastic space between the mount ball-links and the actual motor attachment screws.
in the redesign I rotated the motor so the motor mounting screws are very close to the ball link attachment points, also the vector thrust arm is now much closer to one of the motor screws. This effectively uses the aluminium backside of the motor for rigidity instead of relying on 3D printed plastic.
I also changed the way the vector mount is attached to the plane, the screws now tap into the printed plastic. This makes the head of the 1.5mm hex bolts stop the ball links from being detachable in air. As this is also one of the failures which happened with the original mount when the AM40 aggresively changes direction for 4D flight.

Please note!
- Because the ball links now screw into the plastic the mounting method is different to the original. First press all balls into the ball link horns. Then screw the 1.5mm bolt into the bottom ball link, only then screw the total bolt + ball into the plastic of this motor mount. For the top ball link, hold skirt of the ball with some needle nose pliers and screw in the 1.5mm bolt in from the top. It should tap into the plastic directly. Use the same method for the thrust vector control rod. This is neccesary since the balls cannot be attached to, or removed from the horns if the bolts are in!

Additional (optional) hardware:
- 2x 1.5x10mm Hex bolt  < The 10mm length bolts give more rigidity in the printed part.
- 4x 2x5mm Hex bolt < To mount the AM40, the original parkers will work as well.
- M2 tap < For tapping thread into the 4 motor mounting holes, just screwing in the M2 bolts is more fiddly but works OK as well.

Mirroring:
I provided a normal and a mirrored version of the mount, please check which mount suits your model.
The motor should be attached to the flat side of the mount.
