Well like many i found it frustrating trying to remote view what was going on with my print when away from home, sometimes it wouldn't load, other times it was laggy or would take ages to load.

So i decided i would fix that and present it here for you all.

My mod is based around the Ring Gen 2 indoor cam, this is the 1080p one, when will hopefully drop in price now the new 2k ones are out

required parts:

Ring Gen 2 Indoor Camera

2x m3x10mm

some double sided foam tape

several zip ties as required

The photos tell the story

Camera unclips with the use if a pry tool of choice, inside the workings comprise of three components, the main board, a light board and a speaker

the latter i didn't reuse as i didn't feel the need to talk to my printer from a far. The lightboard can be disconnected by removing the black tap, this covers a little flap which when lifted will allow you to pull out the ribbon cable that connects it. set it aside for later.

the light board ribbon can then be fed through from the front of the print, i found it easier to put a couple layers of foam tape on the back, but done peal off the rear most layer of backing tape yet.

The mainboard can ben installed on the pins, these can then be domed over with a hot screwdriver or other instrument of choosing.

no reconnect the ribbon with a pair of electrical tweezers, it'll insert up to the white line, then fold down the clip to secure

you'll need a 90 degree USB cord, mine was a little bulky so needed a slight trim.

Once assembled the camera can be installed in the PS1 on the same side as the factory camera albeit a tad higher, above the gantry you'll find two m3 holes, the camera will screw into this, the cable can be routed to the rear via two factory clips, then a couple of zip ties to follow the loom down to the poop chute, i chose to exit via the poop chute for now, it's not ideal but i didn't want to add a hole yet to my P1S
