This tool is a modular system designed to enable precise, perfectly perpendicular cuts. It consists of two main components: a support structure with integrated magnets and an interchangeable adapter.

The main structure houses permanent magnets whose purpose is to guide and stabilize the saw blade during cutting. The adapter, on the other hand, is a customizable component: it features a hole that can be modified directly in the slicer by adding a negative shape of the desired geometry and size. This allows you to create custom-fit slots for different workpieces without having to redesign the entire tool.

Once the desired configuration is defined and printed, the two components are assembled and secured together, for example using a clamp. The object to be cut is inserted into the adapter’s hole, which keeps it firmly positioned and centered.

It is recommended to use a saw with a wide, flat blade surface so it can firmly attach to the magnets embedded in the structure. The magnetic attraction keeps the blade perfectly perpendicular to the workpiece, eliminating the risk of accidental tilting. This way, with a simple linear motion and without constantly checking the angle, clean, straight, and precise cuts can be achieved.

The key advantage of this system is its modularity: the adapter can be replaced at any time to accommodate new geometries without having to reprint the main magnetic support. This reduces time, cost, and material usage, making the tool versatile and easily customizable.

In this specific configuration, Ø15 mm magnets with a thickness of 1 mm have been installed. However, the design remains fully customizable: a clean STEP file is provided for anyone who wishes to modify the model and adapt it to different magnet sizes according to their needs. This allows users to tailor the magnetic strength and configuration without redesigning the tool from scratch.
