Modular Desk Shelf – Full Base Package

About This Design

This modular desk shelf system is designed entirely from scratch by me, but clearly inspired by The Workspace Hero desk shelf concept. Credit where credit is due, their work inspired me to develop my own fully modular interpretation.

What’s Included – Full Base Package

This release contains the Base Package, which includes everything needed to get started:

• Structural end supports
• Rail system for 15 mm wooden dowels
• Adjustable laptop/computer holder
• HSW-compatible side walls
• 90 degree corner system
• Extended panel for cleaner look or as an extension 

The base setup is fully functional on its own, but designed from the beginning to expand with future accessories.

Key Features

HSW-Compatible Modular Walls

The side panels are HSW-compatible, with every panel being able to have HSW accessories on both sides at the same time, making it easy to customize your desk setup and attach future modules.

I will continuously design and release new accessories to expand this ecosystem.

Adjustable Laptop / Computer Holder

The laptop holder can:

• Move sideways
• Rotate freely
• Be locked slightly forward/backwards to allow for further customization, making it easier to align with your second monitor.

It stays stable while working but allows ergonomic fine-tuning when needed.

The holder has cutouts to allow for better airflow, and cooling of the computer. 

I reccomend printing the holder in a slightly higher temperature resistant filament such as ABS och ASA, to ensure it holds up even with a hot computer on top. 

Extended panel 

The extended panel is great not only to make the design look cleaner but it also allows you to make the desk shelf longer/shorter seamlessly, it allows for an extension of anywhere between 120 - 5 mm whithout compromising on the strength of the deskshelf. 

15 mm Wooden Dowels

The system uses 15 mm diameter wooden dowels as load-bearing rails.

They provide a strong and rigid structure while remaining easy to source, and allowing for a sleek design.

If there is demand, I may design adapters for larger or smaller dowels in the future.

Optional TPU Feet

The base includes TPU feet to:

• Protect your desk surface
• Improve grip
• Reduce slipping

These will assemble with glue but are optional and not required for the system to function.

Future Development

This is only the beginning. More accessories and modules will be released over time to further customize and expand the system.
