This is a no-drill wall hanger designed for clocks with a standard keyhole slot, using 3M Command Large Picture Hanging Strips instead of nails or screws.

I designed this to solve hang a clock we got from ikea securely on smooth walls without damaging the wall. The hanger replicates the geometry of a traditional wall nail, with additional structural reinforcement around the nail shape to improve strength and durability when 3D printed. Extra clearance has also been added to the support to ensure smooth and reliable fit into common clock keyhole openings.

This design can also be used for other items that normally hang on a nail, especially when direct application of 3M tape to the object itself is not possible.

Installation

1. Clean the wall surface according to Command strip instructions
2. Apply one or two Large Command strips to the flat back of the hanger
3. Press firmly onto the wall and wait the recommended time
4. Hang the clock just like you would on a normal nail
