This time, I made a little other type of project! It is “psycho link”, a ficitve communication tool with which you can send messages from your phone to the 8x8 LED Panel of the communicator. It is thought to be like in stranger things, where one group send a message from upside down using an LED toy.

Please note that this Project ist only possible with external parts, and not parts from bambu lab!

 

You will need:
 

• an ESP32 C1 super mini (1-2€ on aliexpress)
• an 8x8 LED matrix/Panel WS2812b (1-2€ on Aliexpress)
• an old USB cable
• 1 red LED 5mm
• 2 yellow LEDs 5mm
• 1 green LED 5mm
• 3 x 220 Ohm resistors
• some tiny screws, 1.5mm
• some wires
• optional a threadboard
• arduino IDE on your computer to programm the ESP32 (code is linked below)
  
  You can also find these parts on amazon or somewhere else, they are not rare.
  
   

Print:

I have only printed this on my H2D, it should be possible on any printer with AMS, but not without AMS unless you want to print everything in one color.

Programming:

I suggest you have some experience using Arduino IDE. If not, AI is a great help for getting through the steps! Connect your ESP32 board to the computer and select the board ESP32 C1 at its port. The copy the code I uploaded under “documentation” and upload it to your ESP. The wiring for this code is:

The code will let the EPS create a local  Wifi Network “stranger_matrix” password “demogorgon”. You can login in to this network and use the browser to go to [http://192.168.4.1](http://192.168.4.1) which is a website hosted by the EPS32 and let you controll everything.
