MagLev Display Shelf

This is a compact, sci-fi inspired magnetic levitation display base designed to show off a floating top puck while providing soft, clean LED lighting from the center.

This is a project for the Magnetic Levitation DIY Kit - ZC008. It's very simple straight forward and easy project. Beginner friendly!!

To make this magnetic levitation setup work correctly, you must print the housing for the base maglev unit.

In the file list you will see parts labeled as:

Housing (base)
Housing (puck)

These housing parts are required for this project.

The base housing is required.
The floating puck normally comes pre-housed from the manufacturer, but if you want the floating puck to match the color of the diffusers like shown in the photos, you will need to print and use the MakerWorld puck housing as well.

Be mindful that a small amount of glue is required during assembly. This is a simple build overall:

The housing inserts directly into the base.
The floating puck slides into the display shelf, and it is recommended to secure the puck in place with a small amount of super glue.
It is also recommended to glue the top diffuser into the shelf cap.

Once the glue has fully dried, press the cap into place. There is a small alignment lip around the bottom edge of the shelf cap that fits over the side diffusers to ensure proper positioning.
