This project started because I wanted to make some cute rainbow bobbins for the shop, but I absolutely hate having to write numbers with sharpie or find the corresponding sticker (from wherever I've stashed the stickers lol), and selling every single number of DMC floss already printed on the bobbin is just an unimaginable project. So, I've solved that issue by creating a bobbin where you can just slip off the label, slide it into the little window, and cut off the extra wrapper! You can slide it in facing either side depending on preference, and on the other side you still get a hole to put it on a ring if you'd like.
I've arranged this model (and a plain no-window one in case you'd like to switch your existing floss over) to print upright because I was very invested in getting a rainbow gradient for these, but please feel free to print flat - you may have to fiddle with your bridging settings though as the window tends to sag a little bit and supports on something that small can be dicey. It will actually print without the brim, but I've included one just to be sure since it's a bummer if a full plate of them fails. This one has been sized to be the same height and width as a regular bobbin, so it should fit into whatever case you use, and though I can't imagine a scenario where you would want to change the size, I suppose you could - just keep in mind that the window size will also change!
That's it on this one, it's pretty easy but please let me know if you have any questions or trouble. Happy printing!
