I wanted to solidly mount the valves and some of the fittings for my reverse osmosis water filter system, and need some of them offset (raised) a bit instead of flush with the mounting surface. I drew up a parametric model in Fusion and created a bunch of different variations and added them to separate plates. Most of my fittings are for 3/8 inch tubing, so I included several different offsets for 3/8 inch fittings. I also have one ¼ in fitting, so I included plates for a few of those too. But you aren't limited to just the sizes that I included in the print profile! I also uploaded the parametric model for the Parametric Model Maker so you can click Customize and generate custom-sized straps and spacers for whatever size fittings you need!
The 3/8 fittings seems to all be about the same size for both fittings and valves. The ¼ John Guest valve was larger than the fittings and the bottom of the valve wasn't flat with the rest of the fittings on the valve, so there are two types of ¼ fittings included here: ones that work for JG valves, and ones that work for the rest of my ¼ fittings.
If you are Customizing, here are some notes:
- All of the units are in millimeters
- For 3/8 inch tubing, all of my fittings are 20mm in diameter or close enough
- For ¼ inch tubing, my fitting are about 15.25mm diameter, and my John Guest valve is 16.5mm diameter with 2mm ValveStickOut
- You can't set any values to 0. Instead of 0, use 0.001mm for ValveStickOut or OffsetFromSurface if you don't need those
Let me know how these worked for you!
