Initially, the idea was to glue the two parts together. However, thanks to the jigsaw-style joint, this turned out not to be necessary, as the connection is strong enough on its own.

Since IKEA ALEX drawers cannot be pulled out completely, I decided to make the divider 80 mm tall. This height makes it much easier to reach items at the very back of the drawer by hand.

As a supplement to the full-width divider, I’ve also designed a set of modular boxes.

The sizes are following:

• 292 x 146 mm (The Jigsaw one)
• 219 × 146 mm
• 219 × 73 mm
• 146 × 146 mm
• 146 × 73 mm
• 73 × 73 mm

These dimensions are intended as modular sizes and, except for an 11 mm offset on the long side, are designed to work together within the drawer system.

The jigsaw connector parts need to be printed with supports enabled.
