This is a complete reshell of the Sega Dreamcast!

The OEM shell to the Dreamcast is cumbersome and ugly if you ask me. Not to mention, the majority of us have replaced our GD-ROM drives with ODEs. Since we no longer need the GD-ROM, we can make the Dreamcast slightly smaller, as well as add a few features which are missing from the original shell, such as a larger/quieter fan, better airflow, and a vertical orientation.

Below is a list of required parts I used, though you could probably get similar parts from Maker Supply.

• M3 Hex Socket Bolt Kit (short)
  • 2x 8mm M3 bolts
  • 2x 12mm M3 bolts
  • 6x 16mm M3 bolts
  • 6x 20mm M3 bolts
  • 16x M3 flat washers
• M3 Hex Socket Bolt Kit (long)
  • 4x 50mm M3 bolts
  • 4x M3 flat washers
• Stainless Steel M3 Square Nuts
  • 20x M3 square nuts

In addition to those required parts, you will probably want a Noctua NF-A4x20 5V 3-Pin Fan, a Dreamcast Noctua Fan Cable, your choice of ODE and PSU, as well as any other modifications you plan on doing to your Dreamcast.

When printing the base and the cover, your printer will pause at various layers to allow you to drop in square nuts. 

• Base:
  • 8 nuts on layer 34
  • 6 nuts on layer 94
• Cover
  • 2 nuts on layer 44
  • 4 nuts on layer 54

There are also three different rear plates you can print for various power supplies. The OEM power supply, the Robot_retro power supply, and a plate that fits both the DreamPSU and the PicoPSU. You should replace your OEM PSU with an aftermarket anyways if you are using an ODE; and that will open up space for the SD card extension that comes with the GDemu.

You absolutely should not print this in PLA; as the heat from the console will warp the plastic.
