How to achieve the look in the photos:

You can transform your raw print into a realistic dragon artifact using standard miniature painting techniques:

1. Base Coat: Print in a solid color filament (e.g., green, red, or blue) or prime the model with a spray primer.
2. The Wash (Shadows): To define the scales, apply a dark acrylic "wash" (paint heavily diluted with water or wash medium) over the entire model. Let it flow into the recesses between the scales. Once dry, this creates deep shadows.
3. Dry Brushing (Highlights): Take a lighter shade of your base color (or a metallic like gold/bronze), wipe almost all the paint off your brush onto a paper towel, and gently brush over the raised surfaces of the scales. This catches the edges and makes the texture pop.
4. The Eye: Carefully hand-paint the iris and pupil details.
5. The Gloss Finish: For the final realistic touch, apply a thick layer of glossy varnish or UV resin only to the eyeball area. This gives it that "wet," living look.
