Insert for 40 piece socket set

This was designed for a 1970's, early 1980's socket set that had pre-molded plastic inserts that never kept the sockets in place.

Made for the box dimensions it had of about 200mm x 148mm.

There are TWO models to make it more usable to people. The Offset hole model has holes that are 1mm larger to accommodate the randomness people may encounter. This will make some sockets looser.

Assembly:

The sides are keyed for perfect alignment . PLA glue of choice. PETG I use cpvc cleaner to soften and cpvc glue for the bond. Other plastic, glue of choice.
