VØID DROP, part of the VØID Series, is a non-conventional contemplative vase designed around the idea that emptiness is not absence, but presence.

The object invites mindful attention and presence — an experience rooted in the here and now. When cultivated and integrated into everyday life, this awareness can help ease stress and anxiety, allowing us to reconnect with the quiet beauty of simple moments.

VØID Drop encourages small, intentional gestures: contemplating the vase, its form and curves, its empty spaces; lighting a candle or a battery-powered tea light; observing the scent of incense, the reflection of light, the air, and the surrounding sounds. Each action becomes an invitation to pause.

It is an exercise in being present — here and now — rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future.
This is mindfulness, in its simplest and most tangible form.

Its form recalls a suspended drop, while the hollow core defines a protected inner space — a void shaped to be experienced rather than filled.

At its center, a removable tray can host a small battery tea light or an incense stick. The act of lighting or placing scent is not meant as decoration, but as activation: a quiet action that brings the object to life and anchors the observer in the present moment.

The side cavities can accommodate dried flowers, artificial plants, or minimal decorative elements, remaining secondary to the central void — the true subject of the piece.

VØID DROP belongs to the VØID series (see the other models here), where form is shaped around negative space and the void becomes intentional, readable, and essential.

This object is not mainly designed to be completed with objects, but with presence.

Key Features

• Sculptural drop-inspired form with intentional negative space
• Central removable tray usable as:
  • battery tea light holder (no real flames! could cause a fire!)
  • incense stick (remember to trim it to accomodate in the available space in a way that the glowing part is far from the plastic parts of the vase, otherwise it could damage the vase and even be dangerous)
  • Three small holes in the tray for proper incense placement and airflow
• Side cavities for minimal floral or decorative elements (you can insert them by bending them in the side cavities)

Printing Notes

• No supports required
• Best results with matte filaments (black / dark in my opinion, but even white/light filaments could work for spa-like ambients)
• Recommended layer height: 0.2 mm or finer for smoother curves
• Includes a smooth printing profile which has seams drawn in the back sides, and a fuzzy printing profile which almost hides the seams (by using random seams in order to hide them between the fuzziness)

Important Safety Notes

• Use battery-powered tea lights only. Open flames or real candles can be dangerous, damage the model and cause a fire.
• When burning incense, don't use dried flowers, decorations or plants within the vase: the incense could fire the decorations.
• When using incense ensure there is adequate distance between the glowing tip and the vase (at least 3-4 cm, or 0,4 inches). If the incense stick is too long, gently trim it so the burning point remains well clear of the object.
• When using incense You should never leave the vase unattended while incense is burning.
• These precautions help preserve the integrity of the print and ensure safe use.
