Gridfinity SnapLock Box – Modular Storage & Dart Case System

This project is a fully modular Gridfinity storage box system based on the fantastic SnapLock V3 design by Hugo. It combines the flexibility of Gridfinity with the secure SnapLock mechanism and adds optional specialized dart storage inlays, making it perfect for both workshop organization and dart enthusiasts.

🧩 Modular & Customizable Design

The box can be used as a standard Gridfinity storage container or converted into a compact and secure dart case using the included inlays. Thanks to the Gridfinity standard, the system integrates seamlessly into existing setups and allows you to build a storage solution tailored exactly to your needs.

Available sizes range from:

• 3x4 Grid up to 6x6 Grid

⚠️ Note:
The 6 Grid versions require an H2 printer model due to their size.

Each size is available in two variants:

• With handle
• Without handle

The handle is secured simply by inserting a short piece of filament, which provides more than enough stability for dart storage. If you plan to store heavier items like screws or hardware, testing the stability beforehand is recommended. Make sure your printer and filament are well calibrated. Otherwise, inserting the small filament pin may be slightly difficult.

📦 Lid & Height System

The lid design remains identical across all heights sizes for maximum compatibility.

Important note regarding heights:

• The height value (U) specified in the STL filename already includes the lid height
• To create a complete box (for example 8U), you must print:
  • Bottom part
  • Lid
  • Latch (2x)

🎯 Dart Storage Inlays Included

This system offers dedicated inlays for a wide variety of dart accessories:

• 3 Dart holder
• 6 Dart holder
• K-Flex holders (Short, Intermediate, Medium)
• Two different L-Style Flight inlays 
  • When using the upright L-Style flight inlay, the small plastic insert included with L-Style flights is required to properly secure the flights.
• L-Style Gomu Shaft Tightener holder
• Swiss Point / Harrows Tool holder
• Shaft storage
• Steel Point storage
  • To remove shafts or points, simply slide the respective part to the side and press down on it. It will pop up and can then be easily removed.

🔧 Expandable & On-Demand Variants

Additional box sizes can be created upon request.
If you plan to use the box for other purposes, please ensure that inserted containers include a stacking lip, otherwise compatibility may be limited.
