The clever gravity lock-detent does the work – a fully printable weighted element drops into place when closed for secure, auto-locking hold. Releases smoothly with a deliberate lift/tilt. No extra parts, springs, or fuss – just smart design!

Variants:

• V1 (shorter): Compact height with outer perimeter lip. Features a top access hole in the lid for quick drawer-style grabs (tools, hardware, small parts) without opening fully, as well as for loading the drawer.
• V2 (taller): +60 mm extra height for deeper storage needs, with a clean flat top surface for a sleek look, easier labeling, perfect for on shelves/workbenches.
