⚠️ Warning: I do NOT recommend printing the model with Silk-PLA filaments! ⚠️
The print time is based on the H2C – when using other printers it may vary!
⚠️Additional print bed adhesive (e.g., 3D-Lac, hairspray for PEI, or glue stick for the Cool Plate) is strongly recommended, and the bed should be cleaned with alcohol or soap before each print to ensure optimal adhesion and high-quality results ⚠️
Scaling Notice:
⚠️Please avoid scaling this model down. The joints are designed with very specific tolerances, and reducing the size can cause the clearances to become too tight. This may result in stiff or even fused joints that cannot move properly. For the best experience and full articulation, I strongly recommend printing the model at 100% scale. If you decide to scale it anyway, please be aware that joint functionality cannot be guaranteed. ⚠️
PYRON The Fire Horse (Print-in-Place)
This model was created to celebrate the Chinese New Year, whose theme this year is the Fire Horse.
PYRON represents energy, strength, and movement – qualities that are reflected throughout the design.
Important note:
PYRON is not just a modified version of Lunova (the horse model I released some time ago). It is a fully reworked model, redesigned from the ground up with numerous improvements focusing on stability, functionality, and print reliability.
Improvements & Changes
- Extended legs for better proportions and a more stable standing pose
- Improved hoof mechanisms, especially on the rear legs
→ They no longer shift position as easily by accident - Reworked tail joints
→ Less “wobbly”, improved balance, and easier to pose the horse upright - Improved print stability using supports
→ Many users previously experienced the head tipping over during printing, resulting in failed prints
→ The added supports significantly increase stability during the printing process
Important Printing Notes
While the supports improve print stability, they do not replace proper bed adhesion.
I still strongly recommend using an additional bed adhesion aid, such as:
- 3DLac spray
- Hairspray
- Glue (I can recommend the Bambu Lab glue)
This greatly reduces the risk of print failures, especially on longer prints.
The model can also be printed without supports – at your own risk, of course. It is a print in place design
