Parametric Window Vent System

This is a fully customizable window vent system designed to solve the "one size fits none" issue with static models. Inspired by community designs on MakerWorld and Printables, this version is built to be adjusted for your specific window frame and printer bed size. V2 uses a dovetail joint to connect the pieces instead of dowels and tape in v1.

How to Customize

Click the Customize button (located below the print profiles) to generate your 3MF.

Key Parameters:

• Window Lip Thickness & Window Size: Ensures a snug fit in your specific frame.
• Hole Size: Adjust this to match your AC hose or fan diameter.
• Section Count: Split the model into multiple parts so it fits on your specific build plate.
• Advanced Settings: Additional parameters are available for fine-tuning the geometry.

Assembly & Sealing

Slide each piece together on the dovetail joints to connect them together. Depending on your tolerances you may need to use some pressure or a mallet to seat them flat.

For the best results I recommend to apply foam stripping at the outer edges to create an airtight seal against the window frame. I used 1 inch foam tape on either side.

I designed this to be modular. In my final setup, I combined this vent with the following models using the Bambu Studio "Assemble" feature:
