This project is a modular LED lightbox designed to display either a quote with an author or a simple custom text on a removable front plate.

The lightbox is made of two main parts:

• The box (fixed design, printable as-is)
• The text plate (fully customizable using MakerWorld’s customization tool)

The box opens thanks to embedded magnets, allowing you to easily insert or swap the text plate whenever you want.

🖨️ Printing

• Print the lightbox box using the provided STL file
• Print the text plate using the customizable SCAD file via MakerWorld

🔩 Assembly

After printing, assembly is straightforward:

• Insert 4 round magnets (5 × 2 mm) into the dedicated slots (A drop of glue can be used if the fit is slightly loose)

• Stick an adhesive LED strip inside the box

• (Optional) Add a layer of reflective tape (or aluminum tape) inside the box to improve light diffusion and brightness

That’s it — no soldering or complex wiring needed.

✍️ Customizing the Text Plate

The front plate is fully customizable using MakerWorld’s customization tool:

• Enter your own text or quote
• Optionally add an author
• Adjust text size, spacing, and layout

⚠️ Important note:
If some characters are not fully cut or look too tight, simply adjust the character width / spacing option in the customization panel. This usually fixes 99% of text-related issues.

💡 Tips

• White or light-colored filament works best for light diffusion
• Reflective tape inside the box significantly increases brightness
• You can print multiple plates and swap them anytime using the magnetic opening
