Slim Gridfinity Baseplate Generator
A fully customizable Gridfinity base generator with smart build-plate splitting. Automatically adapts to any size and print bed, generating perfectly aligned modular sections with automatic edge padding. Designed for fast customization, seamless scaling, and effortless printing of large Gridfinity bases on any 3D printer.
How to use:
- Open the Configurator
- Enter the desired baseplate length and width. The configurator will automatically generate a Gridfinity layout that maximizes the number of bins within that space.
- Enter your printer’s build plate size. The configurator will automatically slice the baseplate into printable sections that fit your printer.
- Download and open the 3MF or STL in your slicer.
- Right-click the model and select “Split to Objects”.
- Arrange parts.

Configurable settings:
- Width – The maximum desired width of the baseplate.
- Length – The maximum desired length of the baseplate.
- BuildplateX - The maximum printable area in the X axis.
- BuildplateY - The maximum printable area in the Y axis.
- YOffset – Shifts the grid forward or backward within the maximum baseplate length.
- CenterBins – Centers the grid on the baseplate or aligns it to the front edge.
- CornerRadius – Sets the radius of the baseplate’s four outer corners.
Known Issues:
- If YOffset is set too far, the automatic cuts will no longer align cleanly with the grid.
I’d love to hear your feedback and suggestions for improving this model. Currently, the baseplate is automatically sliced from the center—would it be preferable to slice from the front edge instead?
