Bitaxe HexGrid – Modular & Expandable Case System
The Bitaxe HexGrid is a modular, hexagon-based enclosure system designed specifically for Bitaxe miners. Each unit houses a single Bitaxe board and is engineered to mechanically link with others, allowing you to build expandable mining arrays in a clean, structured grid.
The hexagonal geometry isn’t just aesthetic — it enables dense packing, natural airflow paths, and a rigid self-supporting structure when multiple units are connected. Start with one HexGrid and expand horizontally or vertically as your setup grows.
Key Features
- Expandable modular design – Each hex case interlocks with others to form a scalable grid
- Single-unit or multi-unit use – Works standalone or as part of a larger array
- Optimized airflow – Open geometry and vented surfaces support active or passive cooling
- Compact footprint – Dense layout without stacking heat vertically
- 3D-print friendly – Designed for straightforward printing and assembly
Use Cases
- Home mining setups
- Desk or shelf-mounted Bitaxe arrays
- Experimental or visual mining displays
- Organized multi-unit expansion without racks

This is a case system, not a miner or electronics kit. It’s intended for makers who want a clean, modular, and expandable way to house Bitaxe boards while keeping everything organized and visually cohesive.
Simple. Scalable. Built to grow.
PETG is recommended for printing the HexGrid. It offers the right balance of flexibility and rigidity, allowing the snap-fit features to flex slightly during assembly while remaining strong and secure once locked in place.
PLA may work for test prints, but it is more brittle and less forgiving during repeated snapping or long-term use. PETG provides better durability, impact resistance, and overall longevity for an expandable system that’s designed to be assembled, adjusted, and grown over time.
