Parametric Universal Elbow: Custom Angle & Diameter

This is a fully parametric pipe connector designed to solve any plumbing, ventilation, or vacuum adapter challenges. Unlike static models, this script allows you to create a perfectly fitted elbow joint directly in your browser using MakerLab.

Main Features:

  • Custom Angle: Adjust from a straight pipe ($0^\circ$) to a sharp turn ($180^\circ$).
  • Built-in Reducer: Set different diameters for each end—the model will create a smooth, aerodynamic transition between them.
  • Adjustable Straight Ends: Control the length of the inlet and outlet to ensure a secure fit for hoses or other pipes.
  • Wall Thickness Control: Choose how thick the walls should be based on your material (PLA, PETG, TPU) and strength requirements.
  • High Precision: The model uses smooth interpolation for the bend, ensuring great airflow and look.

How to customize:

  1. Click the "Customize" button.
  2. Enter the Diameter A (Inlet) and Diameter B (Outlet).
  3. Set your desired Angle and Bend Radius.
  4. Adjust Length A and Length B for the straight attachment points.
  5. Hit Generate and download your custom STL!

Printing Tips:

  • Supports: Depending on the angle, you might need supports. For $90^\circ$ bends, "Tree Supports" work best.
  • Material: PETG or ASA is recommended for plumbing or outdoor use. Use TPU if you need a flexible coupler.
  • Orientation: For maximum strength, print it lying on one of the straight ends.
