Side spool holder for the P2S. Moves the spool further forward compared to the factory option, allowing the printer to be positioned close to a wall. Works on either the left or right side, in any of the three standard positions. No extra hardware needed. Suitable for printers without an AMS, and also useful with an AMS for printing with filaments that are not AMS compatible.

Unscrew and remove the factory spool holder base from the rear of the printer using the 2mm Allen wrench. Mount this spool holder in the desired location using the same screws (or any standard M3 x 8mm screws). Connect the filament tube bracket (it will click into place). Hang the spool. That's it.

Unlike alternatives, this design screws directly to the rear of the printer. This is stronger and more rigid than mounting to the spool holder base, or mounting to the original spool holder, either of which put torque on the very thin dovetail mount of the spool holder base.

There is a small gap between the spool holder arm and the side of the printer to avoid rattling and rubbing. A small felt pad can be stuck to the back of the arm if desired.

Print in PETG for best results. PLA will be strong enough, but will likely droop over time.
