Overview
This is a custom Gridfinity baseplate designed specifically to fit the drawers of the Harbor Freight Yukon 48" Workbench with Light. The workbench has two equal-sized drawers, and this baseplate is sized to drop cleanly into either one with no trimming, no gaps, and no wasted space.
If you use Gridfinity organizers and want them to actually fit your Harbor Freight setup instead of floating around inside it, this baseplate solves that problem.
What Makes It Special
Most Gridfinity bases are generic rectangles. This one is built around the exact interior dimensions of the Yukon workbench drawers, so it fills the drawer cleanly from edge to edge.
- Designed specifically for the Harbor Freight Yukon 48" workbench
- Fits both drawers perfectly
- Supports standard Gridfinity bins
- Holds 6 mm magnets for secure bin retention
- Modular layout keeps prints manageable and repeatable
The result is a drawer that feels intentional instead of improvised.
Assembly
The baseplate is printed as multiple sections that connect using small dovetail joints.
- No glue required
- Press-fit assembly
- Locks together flat and square
Once assembled, it behaves like a single solid baseplate.
Customization
This model is meant to be flexible.
- Choose magnet or non-magnet use
- Adjust infill or material to suit your setup
- Pair with any standard Gridfinity bins
Print only what you need for your drawer layout and build from there.
Intended Audience
Anyone with a 3D printer who owns, or plans to own, the Harbor Freight Yukon workbench and wants an organized, repeatable drawer system using Gridfinity.
This is especially useful for makers who want a clean shop setup without redesigning storage from scratch.
Tips for Best Print Results
- PLA works well for most shop environments; PETG is a good option if your workspace gets warm
- Print with a flat, well-leveled first layer to ensure clean dovetail alignment
- Use standard Gridfinity tolerances; no scaling should be required
- Dry-fit pieces before fully seating them together
Final Notes
This baseplate was designed to be practical, accurate, and easy to reproduce. If you find it useful, I would appreciate seeing your setup.
If you print this, please consider leaving a like, posting a make, or sharing photos of your finished drawer. Feedback and real-world use help improve future designs.
