Modelo 3D Hitch Back Up Lights por chapo3 no MakerWorld

Descrição

*Update 04/28/2026.  2026 models seem to have slightly smaller tubing for the hitch.  Thanks to [https://makerworld.com/en/@user_2018480904](https://makerworld.com/en/@user_2018480904) he modified the model to fit the  slightly smaller tubing.  It will be posted as a profile.

*Update 2/3/26.  I added brackets to the profile for the side lights.  They will screw into the original holes on the side if you choose to use them, but are not necessary. They just add a little flexibility on light position.  I am using these lights on the brackets and they are pretty good. [https://www.harborfreight.com/12v-utilityrock-white-led-light-2-pack-57205.html.](https://www.harborfreight.com/12v-utilityrock-white-led-light-2-pack-57205.html.)  I added some pictures.

This model is for lights to mount on a class 5 hitch, found on most ¾ and 1 ton trucks.  If the tubing on your hitch is 2 inches then this model might work.  There are variations in the way hitches are made so the distance from the back bracket to the hitch might be slightly off.  You can use washers as spacers if there is a gap.  I made these to fit my 2025 F350 Super Duty.

I modified part of my mounting method I found on Finchersgarage on Etsy.  Check out his store if you want to buy a different style.

You probably don't need to use both methods to secure the lights to your truck, but I find that using both the lights have absolutely no play.

You will need some hardware.  I used a 3 inch ¼-20 bolt for the interior mount and a 3/8 bolt for the exterior mount.  I used heat press hardware to where I could.  It's not necessary as there is access to all parts of the light to use regular hardware.

I used use these lights [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B9J8T4ZQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B9J8T4ZQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) and [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRTTG644?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1.](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRTTG644?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1.)

The rear lights work great.  The side lights are ok.  I plan on trying different lights in the future.  They are bright but more wide beam than I think I want.  The mounting holes on the model are for these lights.

I used ASA-CF.  I would probably use regular ASA or similar filament if I were to print again.  The ASA-CF I found to be brittle on the spool.  It prints nice and supports came off easy though.  You just need to be careful that the feed route is smooth.
