This file is for a custom potentiometer knob for a guitar. The model is “Large Teardrop Style”. The knob is made up of 2 components; a top and a bottom portion. The top portion snaps into the bottom portion and a tiny locating pin helps ensure proper alignment. For me the fit was snug, but I still recommend a single drop of CA glue to make it permanent.

The build plate is set as default to 3 per plate and the parts are print-by-object, so you can print all parts back-to-back and without a prime tower or swapping plates. Everything prints upside-down, so no supports and an excellent finish on the top surface! I think these would look really cool with a textured or patterned build plate as well. 

Fit is for the 6mm split-shaft style pot and is push-on. Double-check overall dimensions on these as well before printing. They are slightly larger than  0.875" wide, 1 3/8" long, and 0.6625" tall. Since these are quite large, there is potential for collision between the knobs if they aren't spaced out enough. I know they will NOT fit a standard 3-knob Stratocaster, but I think they would look awesome on a larger instrument like a Bass Guitar. If there is interest in downsizing these for a Stratocaster/Telecaster, let me know and I can make it happen!

These fit my 6mm split-shaft knobs with a fairly tight fit…. but for all push-on knobs, the exact fit will depend on your potentiometer and printer calibration. Never a bad idea to start by printing just one, testing, and then printing the rest. For these, you could even just print 1 top piece to check. If you find these too tight or too loose, you can easily scale them in Bambu Studio without issue. The default hole on these is 6.1mm ID, so I'd start with +/- 2% scaling if you need. Since this is a 2-part knob, if you do scale them you'll need to scale all parts equally.
