I wanted some drawers for a specific location that were significantly deeper than anything I could find here. So i designed a system that can be customised to match your specific needs. The system allows for drawer boxes to be stacked vertically and boxes of the same height to connected horizontally. The drawer boxes have tabs that keep the drawer from being pulled all the way out accidentally.
Notes for printing:
- No support material is required, when printed in the orientations listed below.
- If you create a drawer set larger than your printer you will need to split it in Bambu Studio and add connectors as desired.
- I recommend connectors on the corners of the drawer box and in the center support. For the remaining parts I would recommend 2 connectors to help align the parts while gluing.
- The print files are set up for PETG, but I've also printed a version in PLA that worked just as well if not better (less warping).
- Recommend using a smooth plate for the drawers to reduce friction on the drawer box.
- Connectors are centered vertically and horizontally in the drawer box based on the dimensions and start ¼ of the depth back from the front. This will set your limitation on stacking boxes of different sizes.
- The accessories are resized/adjusted based on the custom size, be sure to export all the accessories you want at the same time.
Print Orientations:
- Drawer Box - On back for single piece, on both back and front if split
- Drawers - On Bottom
- Top cover - On Top
- Top Tray - Half & Full Depth - On Bottom
- Connectors & Filler - On End
- Build Plate Holder - On Back
Accessories:
- Build plate holder (4 plates) - should work with various plate sizes
- Connectors and filler strips
- Top cover
- Top Tray - half & full depth versions
