Hi Everyone,

I designed this enclosure to safely connect two amplifiers to a single set of speakers. If you find yourself in the same situation, this is a simple, reliable way to build your own amp/speaker switch box. It can also be used for blind A/B listening when running one amplifier with two different speaker sets.

All components are readily available online, and the build requires only basic tools.

Parts Required

• 1× Banana Plug Wall Plate for 4 Speakers
• 1× Banana Plug Wall Plate for 2 Speakers (or individual speaker binding posts)
• 4× M3 Countersunk Flat Head Phillips Machine Screws (10 mm)
• 1× 4PDT Toggle Switch, 2-Position, ON/ON, 12-pin mounting hole diameter: 6 mm (can be enlarged slightly with a drill if needed)

Printing

• Import the model into Bambu Studio
• “Paint” the enclosure in your preferred colors
• Print using standard settings suitable for your chosen filament.

Assembly

1. Cut the wall plate to fit the enclosure. This is easily done with a utility knife or sharp wire cutters.
2. The top screw is designed to overlap and retain the wall plate. I cut a small groove at the top to accommodate this; if you use self-tapping screws, this step may not be necessary.
3. Cannibalize the second (2-speaker) wall plate for the binding posts, or use separate speaker posts if preferred.
4. Solder the connections to the toggle switch.
5. Install the speaker posts and secure all components in the enclosure.
6. Final-check all connections, close the enclosure, and you’re ready to go.

⚠️ Important Safety Note

Please be extremely careful with wiring. Incorrect connections can send power from one amplifier into the other’s speaker outputs and permanently damage your equipment. Double-check continuity and switch logic before powering anything on.
