Sewing Machine Bobbin

A fully functional printable bobbin for sewing machines (bottom thread). This model is designed as a replacement for standard plastic bobbins (Class 15 / A-style).

The two-part design allows for easy printing without supports. WARNING: Since the bobbin spins at high speeds inside the sewing machine, it is mandatory to glue the two parts together after snapping them! The mechanical snap-fit alone might not withstand the centrifugal force, and unglued parts could separate during sewing.

Assembly Instructions
1. Prepare the parts Ensure you have 2 printed halves. Check the mating surfaces for any stringing or blobs and clean them if necessary. The parts should fit together cleanly.

2. Apply Glue Apply a small drop of superglue (cyanoacrylate) or plastic welding glue to the interlocking tabs (teeth) in the center.

Note: Do not use too much glue to avoid it squeezing out into the thread winding area.

3. Snap and Press Quickly align the two halves and press them firmly together. You should feel them snap into place. Hold them tightly for 10–20 seconds to allow the glue to set under pressure.
