[WIP]

This project is a Work In Progress (WIP) modular paint storage and display system designed around Gridfinity, inspired by professional hobby workstations such as HobbyZone, but fully adapted for 3D printing and personal customization.

The goal of this collection is to create compact, printable, and visually clean modules that fit together seamlessly while optimizing space, usability, and print efficiency.

All modules are designed to be Gridfinity-compatible, with magnet support and consistent proportions so they can be combined freely.

This is my first design made in Fusion 360 and also my first custom print profile.
I have owned my 3D printer for less than one week, so this project is very much a learning process.

Physical test prints are currently in progress, and the project is still being actively validated and refined.

🎨 1. Vallejo Paint Rack – Gridfinity 4×4 (5×5 layout)

A compact rack designed for Vallejo dropper bottles.

• Gridfinity size: 4×4
• Bottle layout: 5 × 5 (25 bottles)
• Hole diameter optimized for easy insertion and removal
• Symmetrical spacing so multiple racks can be placed side by side cleanly
• Designed for standard Vallejo Model / Game Color bottles

🟦 2. Citadel Paint Rack – Gridfinity 4×4 (4×4 layout)

A dedicated rack for Citadel paint pots, designed separately due to their larger diameter.

• Gridfinity size: 4×4
• Bottle layout: 4 × 4 (16 bottles)
• Larger hole diameter suitable for Citadel Base / Layer / Contrast pots
• Increased spacing for comfortable handling
• Clean outer borders for modular horizontal stacking

🧪 3. Vallejo Cleaner, Thinner & Primer Rack

A specialized rack for larger Vallejo bottles such as:

• Airbrush Cleaner
• Airbrush Thinner
• Vallejo Primers (large format)

Key features:

• Optimized to fit 200 ml bottles
• Designed to use the minimum possible Gridfinity width
• Focused on stability and efficient use of space
• Ideal for frequently used airbrush consumables

🖌️ 4. WIP Miniature Display / Expositor Module

A Work-In-Progress miniature display module, inspired by the HobbyZone WIP showcase concept.

• Gridfinity size: 6×4
• Two-level internal layout (not evenly split, for better visibility)
• Designed to hold miniatures while painting or drying
• Open-front design (vitrine-style version planned)
• Lightweight structure with internal cutouts to reduce material usage

Perfect for keeping current projects visible, accessible, and organized.

🎨 5. Vallejo Paint Rack – Gridfinity 6×4 (9×5 layout)

A high-capacity Vallejo rack for larger paint collections.

• Gridfinity size: 6×4
• Bottle layout: 9 × 5 (45 bottles)
• Compact but efficient spacing
• Optimized for large collections while remaining printable on consumer printers
• Matches the design language of the 4×4 Vallejo rack

🚧 Project Status

This collection is currently WIP (Work In Progress).

Planned improvements include:

• Further print-time and material optimizations
• Optional lightweight wall patterns
• Additional rack variants
• Possible enclosed / vitrined versions of the display module
