iphone 17 Backbone Controller Adapter

My iphone 17 pro with a thin case on it would not fit into my Backbone controller unless I took the case off. And, the protruding camera lens portion of the iphone made the phone sit crooked in the Backbone controller. To resolve this, I designed this shim that clips into the left adapter grip which spaces the “top” edge of my phone away from the left backbone controller half, which allows it to sit flat (parallel) in the backbone controller.

Also, I am including a spanner wedge which keeps the backbone extended open which makes inserting and removing my phone easier. It doesn't feel like I am going to snap off the USB-C port when trying to yank my phone out and the backbone has collapsed back to it's unsprung state. I am just going to leave my spanner piece in permanently unless I want to travel with it.

NOTE: My phone case is rather thin. Thicker cases MAY work. You'll just have to try yours to find out. Regardless. the spanner piece will help either way.
