Descrição
I was installing some LED ligths in a cabinet and needed a holder for the power adapter. As that has specific dimensions, I could not find one on MakerWorld, so I created my own. I made a parametric (fully customizable!) model, so that you can create one that fits your power adapter. This holder is intended for vertical placement, but can probably also be used horizontally (e.g. under a desk). The holder can be mounted with 2 screws or double sided tape. It had optional loops on either side which can be used to organize the cables with e.g. a zip-tie.
UPDATE 22 january 2026
As I noticed the cables of some power adapters are not located in the center of the adapter, I added the option to adjust the location of the hole for the cable (both left/right and back/front).
Customization
If you want to create a custom power adapter holder, hit the green ’Customize' button and a Parametric Model Maker will open:

UPDATE jan 22:

There are quite some parameters that can be adjusted (image is the top view of the holder):

- baseWidth and baseDepth: width and depth (or thickness) of the adapter
- cableSlotWidth: the width of the hole needed for the power cable
- cableOffsetBF: the distance between the backside of the holder and the edge of the slot for the cable
- calbeOffsetLR: the distance between the left of the holder and the center of the slot for the cable
- wallThickness: the thickness of all walls. Standard this is set to 2 mm, which should be enough in most cases. If you need more or less, you can adjust this.

- baseBackHeight and baseFrontHeight: the height of the backside and frontside of the holder (including the bottom)
Additionally, you have the option to add or remove a eye for attaching a zip-tie. You can use that to manage the cables.
- ziptieLeft and ziptieRight (as seen from the front):
- 0: no eye for a zip-tie
- 1: eye for a zip-tie
Once you are satisfied with the design, you can download and print it (see below for settings).
Printing
The holder can be printed without supports.
I only tested with PLA and used the standard Bambu Studio settings for Bambu PLA Basic (0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill).
Example
NOTE: this example is based on the original version, the updated version (as of jan 22) has the settings as described above.
I needed a holder for a adapter of 58 mm wide, 34 mm deep, and about 130 mm high. I added 1 mm to these measurements, to have some bigger tolerances. I only needed the zip-tie holder on the left side. The cable at the bottom was about 12 mm in diameter and was not exactly in the center. I used the following settings:
- baseWidth: 35 (+1 mm)
- baseDepth: 59 (+1 mm)
- cableDiameter: 14 (+2 mm)
- cableOffset: 13
- wallThickness: 2
- baseBackHeight: 65 (I just used half of the power adapter)
- baseFrontHeight: 35
- ziptieLeft: 1
- ziptieRight: 0
This is the end result (the attached print profile is for this version):
