I wanted to add a Raspberry Pi to my LabRax rack without sacrificing 2U of valuable space. At the same time, I needed a horizontal mounting solution, as some of my projects use tall HATs that don’t fit well in vertical mounts.

This model solves both problems by allowing Raspberry Pis to be mounted horizontally while using only 1U of rack space. It reuses the mounting plates from the 2U LabRax version, so you can easily mix and match different Raspberry Pi versions or swap plates as needed.

I used brass M3x5x4 inserts, taller ones hould also work.
