UPDATE: New Improved Airtight PTFE Cap

I have improved the sealing system by adding a new Improved Airtight PTFE Cap, this version ensures a superior airtight seal compared to the original one; to use it, just cut about 2 cm of PTFE tube, insert it into the printed cap, and use it as a plug.
Credits & Inspiration: A huge shout-out to Fleetwood. I was inspired by his brilliant Remix of this project. In his version, he added a hygrometer holder and a clever plug that keeps the filament ready to use, so you can start printing without opening the box. If you are looking for those features, I highly recommend checking out his work!
Storage Only Version:

Take a look at the "Storage Only" version available in the print profiles. It shares the same design as the main version but it's just a simple silica gel box to rest the spool on, no bearings or extra hardware needed.
Main Project Details:
Many versions of this concept already exist, but I decided to design my own version from scratch for the personal satisfaction of building a functional object myself.
Note on Compatibility: This project is specifically designed to fit 3.7L storage containers. It has been verified to work with both Yashe and Fohere brands (available on Amazon), which share the same internal dimensions even if the lid design varies slightly.
Key Features:
- Direct Printing: Built-in PTFE tube connector for feeding filament while the box is closed.
- Integrated Desiccant Reservoir: Internal cavity for silica gel beads with an easy-access sliding opening at the bottom.
- Smooth Rotation: Optimized for standard 608ZZ bearings to ensure minimal friction.
- Compatible Spools: Specifically tested and sized for Bambu Lab 1kg Reusable Spools.
Necessary Parts:
- 4x 608ZZ bearings.
- PTFE tube connector.
- 1x Yashe/Fohere 3.7L container.
Print & Assembly: All components can be printed together on a single build plate and do not require supports.
Once printed, simply fit the bearings and fill the reservoir with silica gel via the bottom slider. To complete the setup, drill a hole of the correct size in the Yashe container and screw your PTFE tube connector into the PTFE Connector Nut.
