PARAMETRIC UNIVERSAL TCG DECK BOX NO EXTERNAL HARDWARE NEEDED

I was looking for a simple and multipurpose deck box to print without the need of hardware like magnets.

So I have created a parametric deck box for the use of different kind of card display variations and different deck sizes.

I tried to keep the box simple for design purposes.

In the print profiles you´ll already have custom deck boxes, they will be explained further down.

Beware before customization:

!!! When you edit the lids for your needs, please make sure that you have the absolute same values put in, as for the deck box !!!

And don't go under the size value of sleeves for the front display slot (width min. 60 mm, height min 92 mm) , this might break the model.

Abbreviations explained:

MH = Magnetic Holder (deck box with a slot for a Magnetic Holder as display)

TL = Top Loader (deck box with a slot for a Top Loader as display)

NW = No Window (closed box without a display for a card)

Functions:

Lid:

There are flush Lids which close up perfectly to the top rim of the box.

And there are symmetrical lids for raised up images or text, so they don't extrude over the brim of the box. This one can be used on either side, both sides can be used as top side. There is enough tolerance for the flipping even if a TL or MH is inserted.

The lid has 2 arms which function as springs to hold the box closed and secure.

Every lid variant comes with either an indentation for easier pulling out or without one.

Box:

The MH and TL boxes have a slot in front for either of their named display options.

Behind the display is a divider built in for the cards.

The 100 cards variants hold up to 135 sleeved cards for normal TCG cards and up to 120 sleeved cards if using Riftbound cards.

The 60 cards variants hold up to 90 sleeved cards for normal TCG cards and up to 80 sleeved cards if using Riftbound cards.

This numbers can vary depending on sleeve brands. I used Dragonshields for testing.

The box is kept simple on the outside but the walls are thick enough if someone wants to add some texture to it.

Printing:

This deck box was designed for a 0.4 nozzle in mind. So 0.4 nozzle (recommended) and 0.2 nozzle should work fine.

For fine lettering you should use 0.2 nozzle for sure or make big enough texts :D

Lid recommendations: 

Infill: 10%

Walls: 3 - 4, depending on how stiff the hinges should be

Layer height: 0.2

Ironing: standard bambu lab config

Box recommendations: 

Infill: 15%

Walls: 4

Layer height: 0.2

Ironing: standard bambu lab config

I recommend ironing the top surfaces for a nicer touch experience.

I used matte PLA for testing, all colors where Bambu and the black was Sunlu.
