Wall Mount Hanger

I designed this rope hook as a multi-material print using PLA and TPU for my H2D printer.

The hook incorporates a cord that can be wrapped around just about anything, depending on the length of the cord you attach. There are cut outs in the back of the hook to hide the knots inside the hook. This allows the hook to sit nice and flush against the wall. I used a standard Ø5mm rope.

The TPU insert is designed to grip the rope by introducing additional friction to the hook. There are also ribs in the TPU for the rope to sit in for additional grip.

I have strengthened the hook using an internal rib feature that I’ve incorporated in previous designs. It is a tried and tested design feature for increasing the parts strength. The ribs are formed around the screw holes and run up through the hook. Check out some of my previous designs using this technique.
